Paying $17 plus for an entree without a drink, soup or sides (very small portions if any) just doesn’t feel like the best value anymore. The nachos are usually one of my go-to items, but the portions have been really inconsistent. Sometimes they’re fully loaded and other times they feel noticeably lighter, which makes it hard to justify the price. I've also had a few occasions where the chips tasted a bit stale. I’ve noticed the jalapeño portions have gotten smaller too. Paying extra for such a tiny amount doesn’t seem very reasonable. I also asked for the pico on the side so it would stay fresh since I don't always finish my meal in one sitting and I was surprised there was an extra charge for that. I do appreciate that most of the food is made from scratch, which is one of the reasons I still come, just not as often as before. I think bringing back the cash discount and the "bring your own container" discount would be a good idea, especially with the higher prices now. Also, I’m personally not a fan of the new chorizo recipe. It has a much stronger vinegar taste than before. I preferred the older one that was less red and had a more balanced flavor.

I have eaten here countless times and anytime the owners asked for a positive review I did it even after ordering a specially made cake for my son. Today I came in and the nachos I order every single time we're terribly hard and stale. No big deal it happens so I went inside to let them know. Only reason I'm leaving this negative review is because of the cashier in front. Not everyone that comes back with a complaint is out to be a Karen. Some of us understand things happen and I was hoping it would've just be remade with chips that weren't left open for God knows how long. The cashier was obviously offended after her initial remark was "well I don't know what to tell you." I promise i didn't need a scholarly response a simple "let me see what i can do after I speak to the owner" would've sufficed. I also highly recommend cashier girl and Lupita (the owner) learn to mumble a little lower or a find better place to speak about your customers. $14 for stale lunch and a rude/awkward encounter with a cashier lol Save your money and go to Foodamed.

Everything was really good and full of flavor. The staff was incredibly kind and explained each dish, which made the experience feel welcoming and thoughtful. Highly recommend! 🤩

I am a regular at this restaurant. These are the reasons I keep coming back: 1- They make their own cheese subs and faux meats from scratch. 2 - The food is always full of flavor and feels like "home cooking ". 3 - The portions feel just right for me. The combos can be quite filling. 4 - The cuisine is Mexican with occasional fusion dishes. The Zen plate and the Enalmendradas are some of my favorite dishes. The Tazon is underrated. I always recommend The Panchos Nachos as THE BEST (VEGAN) NACHOS IN THE RGV. 5- The refrigerated take home items are really great. My favorite take home items are the almond cheese, strawberry drinkable yogurt smoothie, immune tea, and their to go coffee tastes like cafe de olla. 6- The prices are a bit higher, but supporting local family businesses is important to me. 7 - I also feel like the restaurant is clean and chill. The plates are made to order so sometimes you might need to wait a bit (this is not fast food), but I use my time to clear my head, do some work, or read. 8 - I really appreciate how the owners and staff make regular customers like me feel like family. 9- The Aguas Frescas are also really tasty....the Agua de C
